WIKA Realty Subsidiary Held Groundbreaking Event for Hotel Project in Bali

Jakarta, 15 March 2019 - PT Wijaya Karya Realty through its subsidiary, PT Hotel Karya Indonesia, laid the foundation stone for its newest hotel project in Sanur, Bali (03/15). The event marked the start of the construction of the hotel which was planned to be developed in the three star class which is part of the revitalization program of the Grand Inna Bali Beach area. The event was attended by Ms. Rini Soemarno as Minister of SOEs and officials from the Ministry of BUMN represented by Deputy for Energy, Logistics, Regions & Tourism, Edwin Hidayat. In addition, also attended were the Managing Director of PT Hotel Indonesia Natour (Persero), Iswandi Said, the Board of Directors of PT Hotel Karya Indonesia, and representatives of the Board of Directors of BUMNs who are members of the Joint Venture of PT Hotel Karya Indonesia, as well as representatives of the Regional Government.


The hotel built will have 161 rooms consisting of 139 deluxe and 22 room suites, and will be equipped with MICE facilities (meeting, incentives, conference & exhibition), such as a ballroom that can accommodate 900 people, bar, restaurant, fitness center, swimming pool, spa, and retail area. It is expected that the hotel will start operating in November 2020.


In line with the operation of the hotel in 2020, revitalization will be continued to make Grand Inna Bali Beach, which has an area of ??42 hectares, become the area of ??the Indonesia Bali Hotel which is equipped with various facilities and infrastructure, ranging from accommodation facilities (three star hotels, four stars and stars five), convention center, life-style art market, golf-court, and eco-park.


With these various facilities, in addition to being a "convention center" in Sanur (such as the convention center in the Nusa Dua area), the Indonesia Hotel Bali area will become a state icon and hotel that has facilities and infrastructure that are very complete and can be used to carry out activities - state activities.


Deputy for Energy, Logistics, Regions & Tourism of the Ministry of BUMN, Edwin Hidayat Abdullah welcomed the ground breaking implementation of the construction of the Grand Inna Bali Beach which was carried out in the spirit of synergy among these BUMNs. Edwin said further, in line with the role of SOEs as an "agent of development" and the spirit of "BUMN Present to the Country", the revitalization of Grand Inna Bali Beach will further drive and increase economic activity in general.


Meanwhile, the president director of PT Hotel Indonesia Natour (Persero), Iswandi Said expressed his belief that the implementation of the revitalization of Grand Inna Bali Beach into the area of ??"Hotel Indonesia Bali" would provide great benefits and added value in improving tourism activities in Bali and Indonesia in general.


Iswandi added, besides being an alternative and choice of convention center in Bali (besides Nusa Dua), Hotel Indonesia Bali would become an icon and enhance the reputation of Bali and Indonesia as a world tourist destination and MICE activity.


Meanwhile, President Director of PT Hotel Karya Indonesia, Muhammad Isran expressed his optimism that with extensive experience, the development of the Grand Inna Bali Beach area into a Bali Indonesia Hotel carried out by PT Hotel Karya Indonesia would be a distinctive milestone and milestone in relation to the development of the tourism industry and the economy of Bali and Indonesia.


PT Hotel Karya Indonesia is a joint venture between PT Hotel Indonesia Natour (Persero) and a subsidiary of four BUMN Works: PT Hutama Karya (Persero), PT Pembangunan Perumahan (Persero), PT Waskita Karya (Persero), and PT Wijaya Karya (Persero ) according to the deed of establishment at the end of October 2018, acting as the executor of the revitalization of Grand Inna Bali Beach to become an Indonesian Hotel in Bali.
